Sleepy talk...

WHY? Why am I on here at 10:45 when I should be in the bed!!! I have not been in blog land for 2 weeks. Many reasons why...

First, our sweet little dog, Meggie was killed 2 weeks ago today...we have all been suffering from this. It hurts to talk of it. My boys, especially Avery, have been mourning. Our house has been very quiet and sad. Avery is still having dreams that Meggie is alive, and he says it hurts so much when he wakes up and remembers. Tears have flown freely for days and days. We can't seem to help ourselves. Everything reminds us of her. She was so loved by my boys! On Tuesday, Avery jumped out of the van after school and whistled for her...his shoulders and spirits sagged when he once again...remembered. Please pray for us, sometimes loving hurts!

Second, BUSY...like the rest of you...how do you find time to blog while so busy??? Today has just been one of those CrAzY days. I had 75 apps to type for work...that is a big number for me, especially on a Wed. We had a Homebuilder bake sale at church tonight...all I can say is WOW...so many goodies...THANK YOU to all of you that helped. Especially Sheila - she went all out...she needed to make at least 2 dozen Mountain Dew Cakes. Leslie, as always, goes above and beyond to help me...she also bought Avery the new Toby Mac CD in hopes of putting a smile on his face, and it DID...we jammed all the way home with Mr. Toby. Clark got called out on a job in the middle of church so he is somewhere between here and KY. If he were home, I guarantee, I would be snoozing instead of filling you in on my busy day! Once I cleaned up from the bake sale, I had to run home and finish a few of my 75 apps before the 11 pm deadline...just barely made it.

Everyone is finally tucked in after bedtime snack, and a few more songs from Toby. Hopefully, I will be back soon with some more eventful news and clearer thoughts...I have a couple of MAJOR article deadlines coming up soon...so say a prayer for me for that...whew...k, I'm definetly starting to drift.

G'Night!

  2. Sorry to hear about your sweet puppy. =( I'm praying for your family. I know how it is to lose a dear four legged family member. It's SO hard on everyone. Hope your week gets less and less crazy as the days go by.

  4. What a blessed woman you are! I'm so glad I joined your followers. It's amazing how many folks I've found of late who are from your area. There's Debbie Bumpers, who lives in Crossville, which is, I believe, in your area and goes to Bro. McCool's church. She's an old friend from back when my girls were little. I also have an aunt (Vernelle Broyles) living in Maryville, and another friend, Dolores Crabtree, who, with her husband, retired to Crossville about three years ago. The list has grown to the point where, Lord willing, I hope to travel through that area on my way down to visit with my daughter in Florida this summer.

  5. Sis. Kinnee, Thank you so much for following along! I wish I had a few more minutes in my day to be a faithful blogger, because I LOVE it! It does not surprise me that you know so many in my area - because it is SO BEAUTIFUL here! We have been here 5 years now and think it is beautiful all year long. I also go to church with Barney and Aretta Glosson - I believe they are long-time friends of yours! Many blessings to you!
