Early morning rambling

Good morning.  It is 3:30 a.m.  This is a first for me.  I don't normally blog at 3:30 a.m., because sleep and I have a wonderful relationship.  However, tonight has been the most painful night since my surgery and I have not been able to sleep.  I have been walking the floors with my walker, while trying not to wake the rest of the house.  Therefore, I will post a very rambling blog.  You have been warned!

We had an unbelievably emotional roller coaster of a day.  So Clark spent a few extra minutes on our family devotions this evening.  The Word always has a way of helping us reign in our runaway thoughts.  He spoke to us about the cross, the precious blood that was poured out for my mistakes and sins.  I have such an overwhelming feeling of unworthiness when at the foot of my spiritual cross.  I pray that Calvary will always be very real to Avery, Riley, and Landry.

Clark also took a few minutes to discuss Psalms 133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"  It is ALWAYS appropriate to discuss this scripture many times a day to the three Presson brethren!  Heehee!  They seem to often need a good dose of unity!

We are looking forward to Spring Break.  I am praying that I am able to do at least one fun thing with the boys while we are out of school for the week.  They have been so patient with me during the long weeks of this back trouble, and certainly deserve something fun and exciting.  Speaking of Spring, I was checking over some of Landry's recent school work.  The directions told him to write two sentences describing the season of spring.  He wrote in his beautiful penmanship..."Spring is wonderful.  God made the trees, and they make me sneeze."  LOL!  He has certainly been sneezing!  His allergies have kept him very miserable.

Landry has a neighbor friend that he has daily Star Wars battles with in the back yard.  Recently, Zach came inside to play, and was impressed by one of Landry's favorite toys.  In fact, he loved it so much that he playfully mentioned stealing it.  "Literal Landry" responded with, "Dude! Have you ever heard of the 10 Commandments?  Because no stealing is one of them!"  I noticed the particular toy was safely hidden under the bed the next time Zach came to play.

He recently lost another tooth.  He worked on it several days and did not want any help getting it out.  Once it was pulled and safely in a Ziploc bag, he told me he felt he deserved an extra dollar from the "tooth fairy" for doing all of the work on his own.  I think Clark's next devotions need to cover the love of money!

Easter blessings to all of you!  I am looking forward to celebrating the wondrous miracle of the resurrection!
